On April 2009 my beloved country held an election for provincial and national legislators. To make it easy for patriots and other civic-minded South Africans the president declared the day a public holiday.
As it has been the case since our first democratic elections in 1994 I was at hand to do my patriotic bit by voting and encouraging many others to do the same.
Patriots and the civic-minded look forward to our brand new legislators being men and women of honour, true to their words.
